The Gîte is just a 5-minute walk from the Presles cross-country ski area, which offers cross-country ski and snowshoe rentals. In fact, the Gîte is right next to the Coulmes cross-coun-try ski and snowshoe trails.
The Gîte is less than one hour from Grenoble and Valence. At the heart of the Vercors Mountains, on the outskirts of the Coulmes Forest, the Gîte de l’Auberge du Faz is at the crossroads of Presles and Malleval. A mere 20-minute drive from Saint Marcellin, you can already enjoy the fresh mountain air at an altitude of 1000 metres (3300 feet).
There are several trails that start from the Auberge - enjoy hiking or mountain biking, any time of the year... And Presles boasts a renowned climbing site.
