Gîte de L'Auberge du Faz

At one time known as the the Auberge du Faz (“The Faz Inn”), the Gîte is spacious and comfortable, and can accommodate up to 14 people.

 

The large, well-equipped kitchen turns cooking meals for a large group into child’s play. The professional-grade dishwasher makes clean up quick and easy. Large platters and a broad range of dish ware are available to make all meal prep and service as easy as possible.

 

There spacious common area in-cludes a bar, a cozy living room with a fireplace and a large additional dining area with grand, south-facing bay win-dows so you can take advantage of natural lighting and the central fire-place.

 

There is an adjacent 38 m2 (over 400 sq ft) recreation room with its own south-fa-cing windows. Feel free to add tables, chairs, rugs…whatever you need to create a room to your liking and needs.

 

The sleeping area contains four be-drooms, 2 bathrooms with a shower and sink and a separate water closet. Room 1 has a double bed and a sink.

Room 2 has two sets of bunk beds and a single bed.

Room 3 has one set of bunk beds and one single bed.

Room 4 has two sets of bunk beds. The sleeping arrangements are modu-lar upon request.

The single bed in Room 2 can also be placed beside the single bed in Room 3 to make a double bed by replacing the two single mattresses with a double mattress.

A folding baby cot is also available upon request.

 

There is a south-facing wooden ter-race equipped with tables, garden chairs and an umbrellas.

There is a large parking area with a pétanque court and an expansive yard (approxima-tely 1000 m2/10700 sq ft.)

 

Getting there

Le Faz is under an hour from Gre-noble and Valence, and only 20 minutes from Saint Marcellin.

Pass through Saint Pierre De Cherennes (after Izeron when coming form Grenoble, and after Saint Romans when coming from Valence).

If you are co-ming from Saint Marcellin, or from the Saint Marcellin motorway exit, follow Saint Romans, then Izeron, and then Saint Pierre de Cherennes, Presles, le Faz.

It takes about 15 minutes to drive up to le Faz.

The Gîte will be on your right, at the crossroads of the routes to Malleval and Presles. The road was entirely redone in 2017/2018 and there is good snow re-moval in the winter.

 

Connectivity

There is no 3G or 4G network access in the house. GSM may work from time to time, mainly for sending text messages. If you walk a few meters from the Gîte towards Presles there is a good connection. WiFi is available at the Gîte, and 1 or 2 portable num-bers via French carrier Orange can be added to the Gîte's network if this is requested 2 weeks prior to your arrival..
